Send a recruitment offer
Offer a new player a place in next season’s squad, with the deposit, the deadline and an optional amateur agreement, then nudge, resend or change it while the family decides.
When the club decides it wants a player, the offer goes from their card on the Recruitment board. It is the same offer screen your retained families see, so a new family accepts their place exactly the way a returning one does.
The board and the cards the offer starts from are covered in Recruit players for your programme.
- The card needs a contact name and a mobile number. A card showing "No contact name — the offer letter has nobody to greet" isn't ready for an offer.
- Check the Squad on the card. It is what the offer letter names and prices.
- If you plan to attach an amateur agreement to senior offers, check that somebody is nominated to sign for the club under Settings, in Player Contracts. Without one, those offers can't be sent.
- Open the target and choose
Send offer, or drag the card into Offered. - Check the contact. Offers go by text message and email: the family needs a mobile number, because accepting the offer takes a code sent by text, and the email carries the full letter.
- Check the Deposit (it comes off next season's fee) and Days to decide. On a programme with no deposit, the composer says the family confirms without paying.
- For a place in a senior squad below First Grade, such as a Men's Under 20 or Women's Under 23, you can choose
Attach an amateur agreement. The term and your club's standard conditions are filled in, andPreview the agreementshows the document exactly as the player will see it. Signing the agreement is how the player accepts. - Use Preview what they receive to read both the Text message and the Email. This is your last look at the letter.
- Select
Send offer. Clubhouse names the contact, says whether they'll get a text, an email or both, and shows the text word for word. SelectSend offer and notify 1 personto send it, and the card moves to Offered.
The family receives a short text from the club, greeting the contact by name, saying the club would love Jack to join for next season, and linking to the offer. The full offer letter arrives by email. The link opens the letter on the same offer screen your retained families see, with the deposit, the deadline and the accept button further down:
Accept (or decline) your place walks through that screen from the family's side, and Follow up retention offers explains how deadlines and reminders work.
Once the offer is out, open it again from the card to Send a nudge, Resend offer, Change squad, Extend deadline or Withdraw. Send a nudge asks first too, and goes when you select Nudge 1 person. So does Resend offer: if you've corrected the email or mobile, the confirm shows the new one, and nothing goes until you select Resend offer to 1 person. The family gets the text and email again, and the link opens the same offer screen shown above, with the deadline as it stands now. On a programme with a deposit, if a family has already paid the club outside Clubhouse, tick Already signed — paid outside Clubhouse before sending: the player is recorded as signed and the family gets an invitation instead of an offer.
A senior deal is priced against the budget and salary cap, so it's composed in Contracts. Drag a First Grade target towards Offered or Signed, or choose to send an offer, and Clubhouse takes you there: Open in Contracts if they're already on the senior squad, or Add to squad & open to add them as Planned first. See Open Contracts and read your roster.
- Offered holds every family who is still deciding, and Signed holds the finished deals.
- Specialist staff with recruitment access can't send offers. If they try to move a card into Offered or Signed they're told "Offers and signings are handled by club admins."
