Quick answer
How do I access and navigate the video analysis portal?
Full walkthrough: Get started as a video analyst in the guide.
The video analysis portal is a club-wide workspace for footage and clip decks. It covers every program you are assigned to in one place, so you no longer switch squads to find the session you were working on.
Video analysts log in the same way as any other staff member:
- Open the Clubhouse app or go to the dashboard website.
- Tap the Club Staff tab.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Tap Sign In.
If you have forgotten your password, tap Forgot Password to receive a reset link by email. Once signed in, you land on the Video Analysis dashboard.
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Dashboard (Home on a phone) | Whether footage is still syncing from Veo, how many decks are not started / in progress / presented this week, and the video segments coming up in training |
| Presentations | Every clip deck across the club, filterable by program and stage |
| Training | The club training week, with a filter for sessions that have a video segment |
| Matches | Fixtures and results across your programs. Opening one gives you the full match-day view — see below |
| Calendar | Training, matches, and club events in one view |
| Club TV | The screens you can present on, and the pairing codes that link them |
| Recruitment | Players the club is tracking, coaches it's hiring, and the enquiries coming in — only appears if a club administrator has given you recruitment access, and shows only the parts you were given. Offers and signings stay with the club. See Recruitment from your coach portal |
| Surveys | The annual Club & Coach Survey results — only appears if a club administrator has given you survey access. Responses are anonymous, and written feedback about a team you're connected to is withheld from you. See Reading member survey results |
| Finance | The club's payments, payouts, reconciliation and debtors — only appears if a club administrator has given you finance access. Read-only: moving money stays with the club's treasurer. See Reading the club's finances |
| S&C Testing | Strength & conditioning results across the club's programmes — only appears if a club administrator has given you S&C access. Read-only: recording results stays with the club's S&C staff. See S&C testing across the club |
| Active Injuries | The club's live injury board — who is injured, where they are in their recovery, and when they are expected back. Only appears if a club administrator has given you medical access. Read-only: logging injuries and changing a status stays with the club's medical staff. See Reading the club injury board |
The portal shows all your programs together:
- Presentations from every squad in one list, rather than one squad at a time.
- Every match with footage in that same list, because a deck is created for each one automatically.
- Program filters on each list when you want to narrow to one programme, instead of re-selecting a context.
If you are assigned to specific programs, those are the ones you see. If you have no program assignments, you see the whole club.
When a Veo recording syncs, Clubhouse creates a deck for that match automatically — you do not have to create one. It arrives with the standard section headings and no clips, because choosing the clips is your job, not the camera's.
So the usual starting point is not "make a deck", it is "open the one that's waiting". Presentations has a Stage filter for exactly this:
| Stage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not started | Created by the camera sync, nothing saved yet — opening it to look doesn't move it |
| In progress | Someone has saved at least one change |
| Presented | Shown in a session |
| Shared | Nothing moves a deck here; sharing leaves it where it was |
| Archived | Nothing moves a deck here |
Home shows the same count for the last week, so you can see at a glance how much of the weekend is still untouched. Beside it, In progress counts every deck someone has started and not finished — no time limit, so a deck left half-built a fortnight ago keeps showing — and Presented counts the decks shown in a session in the past seven days.
Everything on this page depends on recordings reaching Clubhouse, so the top of Home tells you whether they are. Most of the time it is a single grey line — Veo footage synced 2h ago — and you can ignore it. In season it syncs every 20 minutes Saturday to Monday, hourly otherwise. Once your season finishes it settles to twice a day, so a much older line is normal then.
It changes colour when it needs you:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Grey line with a green dot | Footage is arriving normally |
| Amber | Nothing has synced for 6 hours (a day out of season), or Veo is connected but hasn't synced yet. Often clears on the next run |
| Rose | The sync is failing, Veo is disconnected, or nothing has synced for a day (three out of season). Footage is missing |
Reconnecting Veo is an administrator job, so when the line turns rose, tell your club administrator. If a match you expected is missing from Presentations, check this line first.
You will still want to create one by hand sometimes. Presentations has two buttons in its header:
- New Presentation — an outfield or whole-team deck: pick the match, then the clips.
- GK Presentation — the goalkeeper builder, keeper-first: pick the keepers, then a match they kept goal in.
If you pick a match that already has a deck — which is most of them — New Presentation opens it rather than making a second one (the modal says so before you commit). Each squad match has one standard review deck; GK decks are the exception, with several allowed per fixture. New Presentation can also make a Pre-match deck instead, which puts the match's starting XI on screen before kick-off. It is a separate deck from the review and shows in the list with a Pre-match pill.
Club TV turns any screen with a web browser into a display you can send a deck to, and you pair screens yourself from the Club TV section rather than asking an administrator. Pairing is once per screen, not once per session. See Presenting on the clubroom screen.
Tapping a fixture in Matches opens the same match-day view a coach gets, on any team in the club — not a cut-down view. The lineup, the formation, the live event timeline and the post-match summary are all there and all editable, on every program, because your work spans the club rather than one squad.
Be careful with it. The squad's coach is running the match, and two people entering events is how a goal gets recorded twice. Unless the coach asks you to track, stay on the Video tab.
Where this genuinely helps is after the whistle. A scoreline or a substitution minute that is plainly wrong makes every clip built off it wrong too, so you can correct it yourself rather than chase the coach for a change. If families already have the final score, Clubhouse warns you that their message won't update.
The portal is scoped to video work, so some coach tools are not present:
- No player rosters on training sessions. You see the session and its squad — not the player-by-player availability list, which is the coach's and the medical team's view.
- No medical or wellness records. The goalkeeper builder gives you keeper footage and analysis, not injury or wellness data.
Tap your profile icon (on a computer, your name at the sidebar's foot) for Settings, Help & Support and Sign out. Settings are shared with the coach portal, so your profile, calendar sync and notification preferences all live under Settings.
- Make sure you are using the Club Staff tab, not the Parent/Player tab.
- If you sign in and land in a different portal, your staff role isn't set to Video Analyst — ask your administrator to update it.
- If Presentations is empty, no recordings have synced yet for the programs you are assigned to. Check the sync line at the top of Home first, then ask your administrator whether the club's Veo cameras are linked.
- If you also hold a committee position, you may see an extra entry to the admin portal in your profile menu. That comes from your committee seat, not your analyst role, and requires two-factor authentication.
