Quick answer
How do I build a goalkeeper presentation?
Full walkthrough: Analyse goalkeepers on video in the guide covers this step by step.
The Presentations section is where most goalkeeper coaching analysis happens. You build a presentation by pulling clips from any squad's Veo footage, then arranging them into slides with commentary.
The GK builder starts from keepers, not matches. You pick who you're reviewing first, and the picker then shows only matches those keepers kept goal in — which can span every programme in the club, so one deck can still mix Men's First Grade, BYL U18 and GYL U14 moments.
- Tap Presentations in the navigation.
- The list shows every club session, most recent match first — columns for Opponent, Slides and Status (Draft or Presented).
- Tap a row to open in the slide editor.
- To delete, use the trash icon and confirm — "This will permanently remove the presentation and all its slides."
- Tap New Presentation. The first step, New GK Presentation, asks which keepers you're reviewing — your goalkeeper cohort in one list.
- Choose a match then lists matches your selected keepers kept goal in, grouped by opponent, with programme pills and a Blue or White pill on Mixed JDL matches. Each row counts its GK moments (and notes tracking where the match has it).
- Pick clips — or don't — and finish with Build Deck or Continue without clips.
The session is titled after the opponent (for example "vs Seacliff Strikers"); retitle it in the editor. Creating from a keeper's own analysis page (New presentation there) pre-selects that keeper and jumps straight to the match step. Several GK decks can exist for the same fixture — the modal never redirects you into an existing one.
Build the deck with Add slide at the foot of the slide rail.
Slide types you can add
The Add a slide modal groups its tiles: Footage (Match clip, Other video), Match data (Match stats, Leaderboard, Shot map, Work rate), Our team (Lineup, Phase of play, Set piece) and Your own (Text, Image). Fixture-linked tiles are disabled ("Link to a match") until the session has one.
- Match clip — for GK decks the picker opens on your keepers' moments (Add goalkeeper clip); the general picker's tabs are Coaching / Events / All.
- Text / Image / Other video — content slides: heading and body, image with caption, or an outside video (YouTube etc.) by URL.
- Match stats — see its section below.
- Lineup — a starting XI on the squad's half of the pitch, keeper at the bottom nearest the room: the linked match's, the Last meeting with this opponent, or another of the squad's matches via Pick a match. Like a Play slide it opens in Plan, 3D or Player POV, and in 3D the Overhead angle shows the pitch the same way up as the plan.
- Phase of play and Set piece — the squad's players in open play or a restart. See Add a play.
A new GK deck opens with a Goalkeeper Review title slide and four section headers: This Week's Theme and Decisions to Work On before your clips, Positives to Reinforce and Taking It Into Training after them. Retitle, move or delete them like any slide.
Editing slides
From the slide rail and canvas you can:
- Reorder slides with drag and drop on the rail.
- Select any slide to edit its properties in the right-hand sidebar — every slide type has editable properties (title/subtitle for the title slide, caption for clips and images, body text for content slides, and so on).
- Duplicate a slide (handy for before/after breakdowns).
- Delete a slide.
Clip overlays — radar and coach drawings
Every match-clip slide carries up to two automatic overlays from Veo:
- Tactical radar — a 2D positional map in the top-right, in sync with the video. On by default once Veo's Player Spotlight has processed. Full guide in the Tactical radar related article.
- Coach drawings — arrows, spotlights, and freehand lines a coach drew inside Veo. Clips with drawings show a squiggle icon on the rail thumbnail and pickers. In presenter mode the clip pauses at each drawing's recorded point, fades the drawing in, and clears it on the next resume (tap, play, Space). Drawings render in presenter mode only. Full guide in the Veo coach drawings related article.
Both overlays have per-slide toggles in the Match Clip Properties panel under the Caption field. The Coach drawings toggle only appears for clips that have drawings.
GK-only clip tools (tracked matches)
When a clip's match has positional tracking, two more controls appear in the clip sidebar:
- Show as — start the clip on Video, Player POV or Overhead (you can still switch views live while presenting). Player POV adds a View as picker (our team or opposition).
- Freeze before outcome — "Pause and ask the room before revealing." Set the freeze point, write a Question, and optionally show Depth + ball distance readouts and the Goal-angle cone. Presented, the slide becomes two steps: freeze and question first, then the outcome plays.
Neither control appears on untracked matches — that's the capability tier, not a fault.
No longer addable; existing ones still work. A single heatmap slide contains both halves of the match — a segmented 1st / 2nd control in the editor, and Next advances 1st → 2nd before moving on in present mode. A white pitch outline aligns the Veo imagery, team logos show each side's attacking direction, and the editable Caption becomes the black "Team heatmap" strip along the bottom. Both teams' heatmaps are pulled from Veo at sync.
A Match Stats slide is a broadcast-style stats view for the linked fixture — the same Veo dataset as the parent-facing Stats tab, rearranged for a deck.
One slide, three modes, switched via a segmented control above the canvas:
- Key Stats — possession %, shots, shots on target, corners, fouls, and cards, side-by-side.
- Passing — total passes, accuracy, and a per-band chart, with a season-average tick behind each of your team's bars (toggle in the sidebar).
- Possession — Veo-style circles + thirds split (attacking / middle / defensive).
Present starts full screen; the arrow beside it offers four ways out:
- Full screen — present on this screen; navigation advances slides (and heatmap halves, decision-point steps and a play's steps) one at a time.
- Presenter view — open on a second screen, control from here (desktop only).
- Share presentation — copy a link anyone can open and present from their own device, no login needed. Send it to a keeper directly or drop it in the cohort's group chat.
- Send to Club TV — send to your club's paired TV screen.
- Pull clips across age groups on purpose. A senior keeper's distribution next to a U14's is a powerful way to show what "good" looks like.
- Blue vs White in the Mixed JDL. The Blue/White label tells the two Mixed JDL teams at the same age group apart — worth double-checking before picking. No other programme (Girls JDL included) carries the label.
- "Full match only" just means nobody's tagged a clip yet — you can still create a session and trim clips inside the editor.
- Heatmap not appearing? "Heatmap syncing…" means Veo is still processing. The slide auto-populates once sync completes.
