Quick answer

How do I access and navigate the coach portal?

Full walkthrough: Your first week as a coach in the guide covers this step by step.

The coach portal gives you access to your squad, training, matches, and player development tools.

Logging in

Coaches log in using the Club Staff tab on the login screen:

  1. Open the Clubhouse app or go to the dashboard website.
  2. Tap the Club Staff tab.
  3. Enter your email address and password.
  4. Tap Log in.

No password, or forgotten it? Tap Email me a code instead to sign in with a code sent to your email, or Trouble signing in? beside the password field to reset it.

Coach portal navigation

Once logged in, you will see these sections in the bottom nav (and the sidebar on a computer, which the icon beside the crest collapses). The My Squad header shows your squad name (e.g. "BYL U13"). If you coach more than one squad, switch between them from your account menu under Switch roles.

SectionWhat it shows
HomeYour dashboard with an overview of upcoming sessions and matches. After a finished season, a season wrap-up card lists anything of yours still open from it
My SquadYour squad list and S&C — see How do I view and manage my squad?
TrainingUpcoming and completed training sessions
MatchesFixtures, lineups, results, and match video
CalendarEvery training session, match and club event in one view. It's read-only — planning a session and checking availability still happen on the training pages it links you to
WellnessFlagged players, 14-day heat map and 30-day trends for the currently selected squad — only appears when that squad is enrolled in the daily check-in. A red count shows how many players in this squad currently have an active wellness flag worth a look. Switch squads from your account menu to see another squad's wellness; you won't see wellness data for squads that aren't enrolled.
WorkoutsWho in the currently selected squad is completing the strength and conditioning programme they were set — session by session, with each player's targets. Only appears while that squad has a programme running. You'll see whether the work was done; what a player writes about a niggle goes to the S&C and medical staff, not to you. Switch squads from your account menu to see another squad's.
PresentationsMatch review and pre-match decks for your squad
IDPsIndividual Development Plans for your players
Season planYour programme's shape for the year — the training phases, what each one is for, and the key dates around them (trials, grading, break weeks, parent-meeting windows). Read-only: the plan is set by your technical director. See Reading your programme's season plan
RecruitmentPlayers the club is tracking, coaches it's hiring, and the enquiries coming in — only appears if you've been given recruitment access, and shows only the parts you were given. Offers and signings stay with the club. See Recruitment from your coach portal
SurveysThe annual Club & Coach Survey results — only appears if you've been given survey access. Responses are anonymous, and written feedback about a team you're connected to is withheld from you. See Reading member survey results
FinanceThe club's payments, payouts, reconciliation and debtors — only appears if you've been given finance access. Read-only: moving money stays with the club's treasurer. See Reading the club's finances
My developmentYour own development plan: rate yourself, add progress to your goals, read feedback your technical director shares and sign each review. Head coaches always see it; assistant coaches once they have a plan. See Grow as a coach
S&C TestingStrength & conditioning results for whole programmes, not just your squad — only appears if you've been given S&C testing access. Read-only: recording results stays with the club's S&C staff. Your own squad's results are always on the S&C Results tab of My Squad, with no access needed. See S&C testing across the club
Active InjuriesThe club's live injury board — who is injured, where they are in their recovery, and when they are expected back. Only appears if you've been given medical access. Read-only: logging injuries and changing a status stays with the club's medical staff. See Reading the club injury board

On mobile, the bottom bar pins your first few tabs; anything that doesn't fit collapses into a More button on the right. Tap More to reach the rest.

One deliberate bit of movement on a phone: when one of your players has a live wellness flag, Wellness takes the last pinned slot so the alert isn't buried, and Calendar moves into More until the flag clears. Nothing has been removed — check More if a tab isn't where you left it.

Settings and profile

Tap your profile icon (on a computer, your name at the foot of the sidebar) for:

  • Settings — the full settings hub: your profile, Calendar sync, Compliance & Qualifications and Notification preferences.
  • Compliance — appears here too, with a coloured dot, while your WWC or a qualification needs attention.
  • Help & Support and Sign out.

Notification alerts are tuned under Settings → Notification preferences; your notification inbox is the bell (on a computer, it sits at the bottom of the sidebar beside your name: click it for your latest notifications, and View all for the full inbox. The red pill on the bell shows your unread count). The full account setup walkthrough is Set up your coach account.

If you cannot access the coach portal

  • Make sure you are using the Club Staff tab, not the Parent / Player tab.
  • Check that your email and password are correct.
  • If your account has not been set up yet, contact your club administrator to create your coach account.
  • If you can log in but see "No squads assigned yet", your administrator needs to assign you to a squad.
