Turn match footage into Club TV

Take the weekend’s match from synced footage to a review deck on the clubroom screen, then give the squad the link so the review carries on after the session.

A review lands when the squad sees the moments the coach cared about, on a big screen, while the match is still fresh. Clubhouse does the set-up for you: every synced match already has a deck waiting, the clubroom TV pairs once and stays paired, and the same deck becomes a link players can open at home. This page is the whole week in order. The editor itself has its own page.

Before you start

  • The match needs to have synced from Veo, with its fixture and squad known. That is what creates the deck.
  • Build and present from a computer. The full editor and the Club TV remote need a desktop-sized window; a phone can edit, but it can't run the TV (more below).
  • For the clubroom screen, you need a TV or a computer plugged into it, with a web browser and an internet connection.

Open the deck that's already waiting

Every synced match arrives here with a deck already started. Set Stage (1) to Not started to see what still needs clips, or start one yourself with New Presentation (2).

Open Presentations. Every synced match with a fixture and a squad gets an empty draft deck automatically, titled after the opponent, so the weekend's review is usually already in the list. Set Stage to Not started to see just those: they have the match's title slide and chapter headers, and no clips yet. Filter by Program or search by opponent, squad or title when you cover several squads.

To start one yourself, use New Presentation and choose the match. If that match already has an empty deck, Clubhouse tells you An empty deck is already waiting for this match — this will open it so you can add clips. and Start deck opens it rather than making a second one. One review deck per squad match means the coach and you are always editing the same thing, and the list shows who edited it last. New Presentation also offers Pre-match instead of Match review, for a separate deck that puts the starting XI on screen before kick-off; it shows in the list with a Pre-match pill, and the coach's guide covers it.

For a match that has clips, the next step lets you choose them before the deck is built: Coach Clips are the moments a coach tagged in Veo, Events are what Veo detected on its own, and All Clips is both. Start with the coach's. Build Deck makes the deck with the clips you've ticked, in order; build it with none ticked for the empty deck. A match with no clips offers Continue without clips instead. GK Presentation is the keeper-first version and has its own page.

Start a deck for an internal match

An internal match is filmed training: two groups from one squad in bibs. It has no opponent or score, so Clubhouse treats it as footage only and it never appears in Matches or a calendar. Its recording isn't linked to a fixture, so no deck is waiting for it. Make one from the recording:

  1. Choose New Presentation, then Internal match beside Match review and Pre-match.
  2. Pick the Squad from the squads in the programmes you cover, then the recording from that squad's Veo. Every recording not yet linked to a match is listed, newest first, with its title, when it was filmed, how long it runs, and Highlights ready with its clip count, or No highlights yet.
  3. Choose Create deck. The deck opens, titled Internal match. Nobody is notified.

An empty list says why. No unlinked recordings from this squad's Veo yet means the squad has a Veo team and the recording hasn't synced. A line saying the squad has no Veo team mapped yet means Veo files that squad's footage under a team Clubhouse hasn't matched to a squad, so nothing can appear however much has been filmed. Underneath, the club's unmapped teams with footage from the last 60 days are listed with their recording count and when each last filmed. Choose Use this team beside the right one, then Map, and its recordings appear straight away. Clubhouse maps most teams itself on the next sync, from the year, age group and programme in the team's Veo name, and leaves any it can't be sure of for a person. The deck stays in Presentations and plays on Club TV like any other review.

Build the deck

The first time you open a deck with no clips, the editor puts the match's clip picker in front of you straight away. The chapters are already there (This Week's Focus, Standards to Elevate, Positives to Reinforce, Coach's Clips), so a clip dropped under the right one tells the room why it's being shown. Add stats, a heatmap or a shot map where they back up a point. Everything saves as you go. The detail is in Build a clip deck slide by slide.

Pair the clubroom screen, once

Pair a screen once and it stays paired. Each screen gets its own row, with its short link, when it was last used and a Revoke button.

Club TV turns any screen with a browser into one you can present on from your laptop. Pairing is a job you can do yourself, and each screen only needs it once.

  1. Open Club TV in your portal and choose Pair a screen. A new row appears with a short link, such as tv.clubhouseapp.com.au/H6CAE.
  2. On the TV, type that short link into the browser. If you only have the code, open tv.clubhouseapp.com.au, type the code (H6CAE here) into the box and choose Continue.
  3. The screen now shows the club's Presentations list, split into recent and past matches, and it stays paired from then on. On a home match day a Match day section leads the list: a card per pre-match deck with its kick-off time and whether the lineup is ready (see the Club TV answer).

Each row shows when that screen was last used. A row still reading Never used means the link never made it to a TV, so try it again or remove it. Revoke (then Confirm revoke) disconnects a screen straight away; use it when a screen is replaced, moves out of the clubroom, or you paired one by mistake. Copy link gives you the short link again if a screen ever needs re-pairing. The Club TV answer covers screens that won't cooperate.

Present in the room

Five minutes before the squad arrives, turn the TV on and make sure it's showing the club's Presentations list, not the "Link this TV to your club" screen. The deck will be on that list if it's a draft or presented deck from the last 60 days with at least two slides, which every synced deck is.

Then, in the editor, open the menu beside Present and choose Send to Club TV. The deck starts on the TV and your laptop becomes the remote: the current slide, a preview of the next one, a timer, and Previous, Next, play and pause. Sound comes from the TV; the remote's mute button only silences the preview on your laptop. Check the first clip plays with sound before anyone sits down. End finishes the presentation and marks the deck Presented, which moves it out of your to-do list.

Everything you do with a finished deck starts from the menu beside Present.

Two things to know about the TV:

  • Every screen showing the club's Club TV takes the deck. If the gym and the clubroom are both on the Presentations list, both start. Turn off, or move off Club TV, any screen that shouldn't show it.
  • Send it from a computer. On a phone, Send to Club TV starts the deck on the screen, but the phone doesn't turn into a remote, so there's no way to move past the first slide.

If the room's screen won't play, Full screen on your own laptop is the fallback, and a projector works with Presenter view. Both are covered in Present with POV, radar and overhead tools.

Share it with the squad afterwards

A review the players can rewatch on their own is worth more than one they saw once. Choose Share presentation from the same menu beside Present. The link works as soon as the dialog opens: anyone who has it can open and step through the deck in a browser with no login. On that link a leaderboard slide shows a notice instead of its rankings, and Lineup and Play slides show shirt numbers instead of names and photos. The clubroom TV still shows the names. Copy it into the squad's group chat or your weekly message.

The link works as soon as this opens. Copy URL puts it on your clipboard.

There's currently no way to switch a share link off once it's out, so keep anything you wouldn't want forwarded out of a deck before you share it. Sharing doesn't change the deck's stage: it stays Presented.

Tidy up

Delete a duplicate or an experiment from the list, not the editor. The bin icon on its row opens Delete Presentation, which asks first because it removes the presentation and all its slides for good. There's no archive step; a finished deck just stays in the list as Presented.

Deleting an internal match's deck goes further, because the internal match exists only for its footage. It removes the internal match and any other deck made from the same recording, and Delete Presentation says so. The recording goes back on the Internal match list, so you can start again from the right one.

Confirm it worked

  • The weekend's deck moved from Not started to Presented during the week.
  • The TV was on the club's Presentations list and the first clip played with sound before the squad arrived.
  • The share link went out after the session, and its leaderboard, lineup and play slides showed no names.
