Follow the club on match day

The Matches tab covers the whole club, not just your squad: every game live, the full round’s results, the ladder, and a link for family who aren’t in the app.

On a Saturday you're the person on the sideline everyone asks: how are the U18s going, did the seniors win, where do we sit on the ladder. The Matches tab answers all of it without leaving the app, because it follows the whole club and the whole competition, not only your own squad.

Before you start

  • Matches has four tabs: Fixtures, Results, Ladder and Live.
  • The Grade picker at the top chooses whose matches you're looking at. It lists every squad in the club, grouped by programme, with your own marked · Your team.
  • A red dot on Matches means one of the club's games is live right now.
Your squad’s fixtures with the availability count beside each kick-off. The red dot on Live means a club game is on now.

Fixtures: what's coming, and who's available

Fixtures lists your squad's upcoming matches with the opponent, venue and kick-off. Beside each kick-off is your availability count: a single number when the whole squad is available, or available out of the squad when it isn't. Junior development fixtures don't show the count. Tap a match to open it, which is where match day happens.

When your squad makes the finals, a note under the list says it is through to the finals, and the finals fixtures follow once the draw is published.

Live: every club game in one feed

Live is the club's day in kick-off order. Games being filmed play at the top, then Live now, then the rest of Today's kick-offs, and Just finished as games end. A game that's over but not yet scored reads Awaiting result. Tap any game to follow its score and events as they're logged.

You don't need the tab open for your own squad. Its live score comes to your lock screen, and the final score arrives as "Match Result", naming your squad, the score and the opponent. Tapping either opens the match, and Stay connected shows how to add other teams or turn them off.

Where the club's senior league is streamed, a switch lets you follow the rest of that competition too. It's named after the league, such as Show all NPL Men's games, and it starts switched on. Your own club's games always stay in the feed, whichever way it's set.

When the club has games live or coming up, Invite others to watch at the bottom shares the club's public live page: Family or friends outside the club can watch too. Anyone with the link can follow the scores without the app or an account. It shows league and championship games only, never the trial games the club adds itself. Post it in your team chat at the start of the season and it's there every week.

The rest of the club’s day, and the link to share with family who aren’t in the app.

Between rounds the tab says No matches scheduled. If the connection drops, it tells you updates are paused and reconnects on its own, so you're never reading a stale score without knowing.

Streamed senior competitions also have a page for the whole round: the featured game, Live now, the day's remaining kick-offs, and Just finished. It's the one to keep open when several grounds are playing at once.

Results: your club, then the whole round

Results opens on your club's results. The View picker switches to Whole competition, every result in your squad's league for the round, which answers "how did everyone else go?" in one place. Tap one of those matches for its score and summary. For junior development squads the option is greyed out, because their competitions don't publish a full round. It's also greyed out for any squad that isn't linked to a league yet.

Ladder: where everyone sits

Ladder shows your squad's league table with your team highlighted. Change the Grade picker to see any other squad's table. For youth and senior grades the picker also offers Club Championship, the club's combined standings.

Junior development football doesn't keep a ladder. For a JDL squad the tab says so, "JDL fixtures don't use a league ladder. Switch to Fixtures or Results to see this team's matches.", or shows another of the club's ladders and tells you which.

Confirm it worked

  • The public live link is pinned in your team chat, and the families who can't make it have used it.
  • "How did the rest of the round go?" gets answered from Whole competition, not from other clubs' chats.
  • When the red dot is on Matches, you know which club game is live.
