Quick answer

What can I change in Club settings, and who can change it?

Club settings sit under Settings → Club (open your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings), alongside the Account, Billing and Integrations groups. This article covers that Club group, plus the per-program reminder timings that override its club-wide defaults.

Club settings

These affect the entire club. Most are super-admin-only; Training Schedule is open more widely because it's the source of truth for the calendar's recurring squad sessions. The list is ordered top-down by how often you'll touch it during a season.

SettingWho can editWhat it does
Modules & ProgramsSuper adminEnable or disable Football Programs (e.g. MJDL, BYL, GYL, Men's, Women's) and Platform Modules — the toggleable one is Match Intelligence (the Admin, Parent and Coach portals are always on). Toggling a program or module on adds the relevant nav items for everyone with permission. Each program is listed as a compact row summarising how it's configured; select Settings on that row to open its own options, from Live match tracking to Reminder timings. Every one, what it does, and when it can't be switched off, is in What can I switch on or off for each program?. The year beside a program's name is its season; Move to … now or Undo appears when a move is due. A disabled program has no Settings button — switch it on first. Turning a program off asks you to confirm; it takes effect immediately for everyone, but nothing is deleted and switching it back on restores it. Platform Module changes wait until you select Save Changes.
Training ScheduleMost adminsDefine each squad's weekly recurring training sessions (day, start/end time, location). The calendar builds each fortnight's sessions from these slots, so this is where you pin the regular pattern for the season. A technical director can edit the programmes they direct. Strength and conditioning and medical staff don't see this entry at all — their own Training page already lists every upcoming session with its date, time and venue, which is the question they need answered.
Club NotificationsSuper adminThe club-wide defaults for reminder timings, plus notification feature toggles for club-wide events (match reminders, training reminders, fixture changes, suspensions). Individual programs can override the timings under Modules & Programs → Reminder timings (see below). See How do I manage club communications and notifications? for the detail.
Committee & GovernanceSuper adminUpload your constitution, set the AGM date and automated rollover, and configure term lengths, quorum, eligibility, and composition rules. See How do I configure committee governance and store our constitution? for the full walkthrough.
ContractsSuper admin (all admins can view)The playing-contract templates behind recruit offers — one per contract type and men's/women's variant — plus the signatories who sign for the club and the signing rules that decide which of them sign what. Each signatory has a name, a title, and optionally a signature image (signed on screen or uploaded) that appears above their name on the agreement; without one, they sign by name and title. A signatory normally signs for your club, but you can mark one as signing for a partner organisation — useful when your club operates another club's licence. Signing rules start with a club default that every contract falls back to, and you can add an override for a particular programme, a particular contract type, or both; the most specific rule wins, and more than one signatory on a rule means all of them sign, in the order you set. Templates are editable documents with merge fields (player name, wages, season and so on) that fill in from the offer when it's sent. Edits apply to future offers only — anything already sent or signed keeps the version the family saw, signatures included. Full walkthrough: Configure player contracts.
Club & BrandSuper adminClub name, logo, colours, and product names. Set once at onboarding and rarely revisited.
Club DetailsSuper adminThe club's contact people and phone, the support email that replies to club emails go to, social and web links, and the Default Venue that every calendar entry and training plan falls back to when a session doesn't name its own ground.
Club Identity and Technical FrameworkAdmins and technical directorsThe club's mission, values and technical framework, which Clubhouse builds into the FNSW documents. The Technical Framework drafts what it can from the club's records and Methodology, and you add the rest. See Write your club's football identity.
Audit LogSuper adminWho changed what and when across the club, filterable by type, action and period, and searchable by person.

Per-program reminder timings

By default every program uses the club-wide reminder timings from Club Notifications. When a program needs different timings — for example senior players arriving 90 minutes before kickoff while youth arrive 75 — open Modules & Programs, switch the program on, select Settings on its row, and use the Reminder timings panel:

  • Match arrival, Training arrival, and Send reminder (all in minutes) control how early players/parents are asked to arrive and how far ahead the reminder is sent.
  • For a program whose age groups field two colour teams — the Mixed JDL — three extra fields appear: Second-team arrival, and the Coach, TD and Parent/player reminder times that schedule the weekly squad messaging. That messaging exists to publish which team each child is in, so programs with one team per age group (Girls JDL, Boys and Girls Youth League, the senior teams) don't show these fields. Their Match arrival field is labelled just that, rather than First-team arrival.
  • Each field shows the value currently in effect (the club default unless the program already has its own), and you can edit it directly. Saving stores that program's own value; programs you never touch keep following the club default.
