Quick answer
How do I use the Calendar?
The Calendar gives you one place to see every training session, match, and club event across the club — the same unified calendar your club admins use, in a read-only view tuned for coaches and team managers.
You'll find it in the sidebar (and the bottom bar on mobile) as Calendar.
- Training sessions and matches for the programs you work in. The calendar opens focused on your own programs so your week isn't buried under everyone else's; the filter described below brings any other program in whenever you want to check a venue clash or see when another age group trains.
- Club events that have been shared with staff — workshops, working bees, presentation nights, and the like. You only see the events your club has chosen to make visible to your role; admin-only and committee events never appear here.
- Player review meetings booked in the squads you coach or manage. Each confirmed booking shows up at its booked time as "Player name review", so you can see your review day fill up at a glance. You only see reviews for your own squads — the same squads your synced calendar feed covers.
A segmented control at the top switches between four views:
- List — everything from today onwards, grouped by day. The best view for "what's coming up".
- Day — a single day as a vertical timeline.
- Week — a Monday-to-Sunday grid.
- Month — a full month grid (desktop); tap any day to drop into the Day view. On mobile you stay on the day-grouped list.
Use the Today button and the arrows next to the date to move around.
The left rail (desktop) and the filter button (mobile) list every program your club runs, plus Club Events and the Season Calendar. Your own programs start ticked and the rest start unticked — tick one to pull that program's training and matches in, untick it to clear them out again. Club events stay visible whatever you do with the program filters.
The Season Calendar switch works club-wide: turn it on and every program's season dates appear (trials, grading, breaks, finals), whatever the program filters say — those are the landmark dates the whole club plans around. The program ticks control training and matches only.
This is the scope control for training and matches, so what you tick is exactly what the calendar loads. Nothing is locked off: tick everything and you're looking at the whole club.
When a club event asks staff whether they're coming, its detail panel shows Going, Maybe and Can't go. Tap one; tap it again to take it back. If the club set a reply-by date, the line underneath says when replies close, and a full event can still be declined — that's the most useful answer you can give, because it frees a place.
This answers for you only. Bringing family to a club event is something you do as a parent, in Clubhouse, where you can name who's coming and pay if there's a ticket. A paid event says so here rather than offering half the flow.
Apart from that one answer, tapping any item opens a detail panel with the time, venue, squads, (for matches) the score, or (for a player review) the player, time and location — and nothing to edit. The calendar is for seeing the schedule at a glance.
To actually change something, head to the surface that owns it:
- Session plans and player availability live on the Training pages.
- Match day (lineups, live events, results) lives on the Matches pages.
The calendar deep-links you to those places when you need them.
Below the Calendars list in the left rail (or below the day list on your phone) is a row that says Add to your calendar. Tap it and a panel slides in with Apple, Google and Outlook, plus your private link and (on a computer) a QR button to point your phone at. Once it is added, that same row tells you where things stand: "Waiting for first sync" until your calendar app fetches for the first time, then "Up to date". The full account setup walkthrough — including what belongs in the feed — is Set up your coach account.
The panel's In your calendar list reads exactly like the rail's Calendars list — one row per programme with its colour dot, then Club Events and the Season Calendar — plus separate rows for your own children's training and matches and for the squads you coach or manage, so you can carry your own family's dates without also carrying every session for every squad you look after.
See sync-calendar for the full walkthrough, including what to do if Google or Outlook opens the wrong screen.
