Quick answer

How do I see my child's development and progress?

Clubhouse gives you several ways to follow your child's progress through the season. The main place to look is the Health tab (S&C testing results and any active injuries). If your child's squad is in the rollout of the development-plan feature, the Plan tab is the other place to check.

Health — S&C results and injuries

Tap Health in the bottom tab bar. The sub-tabs you see depend on what your child's squad has enabled:

  • S&C — your child's strength and conditioning testing results across the season's testing phases, with comparisons against their squad average and previous phases.
  • Work rate — if your child's matches are filmed, the distance they covered and their top speed in each match, measured from the match video and compared only against their own season. See Work rate from match video.
  • Injuries — any current injury under management with your club's physio, expected return date, and the latest update.

Those three are what a parent sees. There are four more sub-tabs — Wellness (the daily check-in), Effort (how hard a session felt), GPS (match numbers from a vest) and Recovery (sleep and heart-rate data from a wearable) — and they appear only on the player's own login, never on yours.

That's deliberate rather than a gap. Each of those is the player's own report of their own body, and it's answered honestly when the player knows it isn't being read over their shoulder. If your child's squad is enrolled in any of them, they'll see the tab when they sign in themselves — and it's worth encouraging, because a coach acting on an honest soreness score is how a small niggle stays small.

GPS and Work rate answer the same question from two instruments, so only one is ever shown. A squad with vests gets GPS; a squad without them gets the camera figures instead.

Plan — where your child's programme runs development plans

The Plan tab appears in the bottom bar when at least one child in your family is in a programme that runs development plans — if no child is, the tab hides itself entirely rather than showing an empty room. Before a plan is published you'll see a staged message instead ("{name}'s plan starts with the coach" before the season, or "{name}'s plan is on its way" once the self-assessment cycle is running).

There's nothing for you to enable or sign up to. Once published, the Plan tab is a three-tab hub — Assessment (the 4-corner picture, self-ratings alongside the coach's), My Goals, and Reviews. The full walkthrough is Your child's development plan.

My Goals lists one row per goal, and each row is a conversation with the coach: the goal, who spoke last, and what they said. A badge appears when something your child logged is still waiting on the coach.

Tap a goal to open it. That page holds everything for that one focus area — why it matters, what to work on at training, what to look for on match day — and underneath, the conversation itself, oldest message first. When the coach answers a check-in or a clip, their reply appears with the message it's answering quoted above it, so you can always see what they were responding to. Clips show as a still frame you tap to play.

If the coach has carried a goal on from last season, it opens with a Carried on from tag and last season's year: the goal is written for this season, on the same part of your child's game.

From the same page your child can log that they worked on it, record how a game went, or attach a clip. What they add appears in the conversation straight away, and their coach sees the identical thread — same order, same replies — from their end.

If your child had a plan last season, the self-assessment reminds each of you of your own answer from then, for example "Last season you said: Building". You only ever see your own earlier answer, never your child's or the coach's, and nothing is pre-filled.

What about Squad?

There's no longer a separate Squad entry in the bottom nav. Your child's squad info — fixtures, training, who else is on the team — is reached from the Matches and Training tabs and the child picker on your avatar.

Match clips — straight to your inbox

If your club uses Veo, coaches tag short video moments from each match (your child's goals, key defensive actions, things to review). You don't need to go hunting for them — when the coach has finished tagging clips after a match, you and your child both get a push notification with a link straight to that match's Highlights tab.

We schedule those notifications to land after the team's video review session at training, so you're not pinged before the squad has watched them together. See Match clip notifications for the full detail.

Match highlights and full match recordings

When a Veo recording is available for a match, you can also browse the highlights reel or full match video directly from the match detail page — open Matches, tap a completed fixture, and look for the Video and Stats tabs.

What if you don't see one of these tabs?

  • Health appears for every parent — if S&C isn't run at your club, the S&C sub-tab will show an empty state, and if there are no injuries the Injuries sub-tab will say so.
  • Work rate only appears once at least one of your child's matches has been filmed and measured — and not for squads that wear GPS units, which have their own tab.
  • Plan only appears when a child in your family is in a programme that runs development plans; before the plan is published it shows a staged "on its way" message rather than the plan.
  • Match clip notifications only fire when the coach has actually tagged clips of your child in a fixture's recording — quiet matches mean no notification, which is by design.
