Quick answer

How do I view S&C reports and analytics?

The S&C reports section helps you analyse testing data across squads, track player progress over time, and identify development opportunities.

Accessing reports

  1. Go to S&C → Reports.
  2. Choose from the available report types.

Available reports

Squad Summary

Shows aggregate S&C data for each squad, including:

  • Average test scores across the battery
  • Distribution of results (how many players above/below targets)
  • Comparison between squads of the same or different age groups

This is useful for identifying which squads are ahead or behind in physical development.

Trend Analysis

Shows squad-level change across testing phases using cards first: each squad has a headline outcome (better / worse / stable) based on whether the metric improved for that test’s direction (higher or lower is better), the first-to-last phase percentage change, a small trajectory across all phases with data, and a compact table of mean and sample size (n) per phase.

Only phases where that test has aggregate data appear, so you are not shown empty phases for tests that were not run in an earlier window. The test dropdown lists how many phases have data for each exercise and sorts trend-ready tests (two or more phases) to the top; that group is selected by default when you open Trend Analysis. First-to-last is one summary line across the season; mid-phase detail is in the table and trajectory. Check n in each phase: if far fewer players were tested in one phase than another, squad averages are harder to compare; the page may show a short data-quality note when sample sizes are very uneven.

Icons and labels reflect outcome (improvement for that test), not whether the raw number went up or down.

For individual strength and conditioning history, open a player profile and use the S&C / training results areas (and the parent app, where your club exposes player development).

Use this tab together with Squad Summary and Insights to see whether training is moving group physical markers in the right direction.

Insights

The insights panel highlights key findings from the data, such as:

  • Players who have made significant improvements
  • Players who may be regressing or plateau-ing
  • Squads with the most consistent development
  • Areas where targets are being met or missed

Using targets

If you've set age group targets in Testing → Test Settings → Age Group Targets, the reports will show results relative to those benchmarks: green when more than 5% better than target, amber within 5% either side, red when more than 5% worse. This makes it easy to see at a glance which players are on track and which need additional support.

Exporting report data

You can export S&C data as CSV for further analysis in Excel or other tools:

  1. Go to the phase detail page.
  2. Use Export CSV.

This is useful for sharing data with coaches, presenting at parent workshops, or including in FNSW submissions.

Connecting S&C to player development

S&C data is most valuable when it connects to the broader development picture:

  • IDPs — Reference physical testing results in player development plans
  • Coach feedback — Share squad-level trends with coaches so they can adjust training focus
  • Parent communication — Physical development is a key area parents are interested in; families see their own player's results in the app under Health, on the S&C tab

Tip: FNSW's Club Standards assess whether the club uses a variety of data sources (including S&C) to support holistic player development. Well-structured S&C reports demonstrate a professional, evidence-based approach.
