Quick answer

How do I manage the injury board?

The Active Injuries page is the main hub for managing current player injuries across all squads.

Accessing the injury board

  1. Log in to the admin portal at dashboard.clubhouseapp.com.au
  2. Tap Medical in the sidebar, then Active Injuries

Board layout

On desktop the board displays as a kanban with columns for each injury status:

ColumnMeaning
Pending ReviewFamily-reported injuries awaiting triage
ActiveConfirmed injuries being treated
Modified ReturnPlayer returning with restrictions
Chronic ManagementLong-term conditions being monitored

Resolved injuries don't have a column — resolving an injury (from the detail panel) clears it off the board into Injury History.

On mobile, injuries are grouped by status in a scrollable list.

You can drag injuries between columns on desktop to change their status. Dragging into Pending Review is blocked — use the detail panel to triage.

Board or table view

On desktop, use the Board / Table toggle on the right of the filter bar to switch layouts. Your choice is remembered the next time you open the page.

The Table view lists the same active injuries in sortable columns — Player, Injury, Diagnosis, Status, Onset, Training, Match and Practitioner. The Training and Match columns show the estimated return-to-training and return-to-match (return-to-play) dates respectively, so there's no confusion about which return each date refers to. Click a column heading to sort by it. Each row has an inline Status dropdown so you can move an injury between Active, Modified Return and Chronic Management without opening the detail panel. (Pending Review and Resolved aren't offered inline — triage and resolution happen in the detail panel.) Clicking anywhere else on a row opens the injury details.

The table is desktop-only; on mobile you'll always see the grouped list.

Stat bar

At the top of the board, two indicators appear when relevant:

  • Returning this week — players with an estimated return date in the current week
  • Overdue reviews — injuries past their next review date. Players whose season has ended aren't counted, since there's nothing to review them for; concussions are counted either way.

Season close-out

When a squad's season finishes, its players stop training and treatment usually stops with it — but their injuries don't resolve themselves. Those injuries move out of the columns and into a Season close-out section above the board, with a count of how many are waiting and a Review button on each row.

An injury appears here once every squad the player still belongs to has finished its season. A player who is also in another squad that's still playing — a goalkeeper training with a senior GK cohort, or a side still in finals — stays on the board as normal, because someone is still looking after them.

Tap Review on a row and choose one of four outcomes:

OutcomeUse it when
RecoveredThe player returned to full training or matches. You'll confirm the return dates next, in the usual resolve step.
Close — outcome unconfirmedTreatment stopped at the end of the season and recovery was never confirmed. No return dates are recorded.
Move to chronic managementAn ongoing condition to monitor next season. Stays on the board.
Keep openTreatment continues through the off-season. Won't be tidied up automatically.

You can add an optional Note with any of them.

Rows already in Chronic Management show a Confirm carry-over button instead, since the decision has effectively been made — and where the player has already accepted a place for next season, the row says which year it carries into.

What happens if you don't review them

Nothing urgent, and nothing is lost. Four weeks after a squad's season ends, anything still unreviewed is tidied up automatically and recorded as Closed at season end rather than as recovered — because nobody was there to confirm a recovery. The close-out header tells you the date tidying starts. Squads finish on different days, so each injury is tidied four weeks after its own squad's season ended.

Injuries closed this way are marked in Injury History, and their days-lost figure is shown with a ~ to show it's an estimate rather than a measured recovery.

Concussions are never closed this way. A concussion can only be resolved with a medical clearance, so the Close — outcome unconfirmed option is unavailable for one, it's never tidied up automatically, and it keeps raising review reminders through the off-season. Its close-out row says Open until cleared.

All the filters and view options sit together in a single bar above the board:

  • Program — narrow to a single program (e.g. MJDL, BYL, Men's, First Team, GJDL, GYL, Women's). Medical staff filter at the program level rather than per squad.
  • Status — show only one status (Pending Review, Active, Modified Return or Chronic Management), or All statuses.
  • Search — type a player's name, body region or diagnosis to filter the list as you type.

Program filtering happens server-side; Status and Search narrow whatever is already loaded. The filters apply to the board, the table and the mobile list together, so all three stay in sync. If nothing matches, you'll see a "No injuries match your filters" message.

Logging a new injury

  1. Tap Log New Injury (top-right on desktop, plus icon on mobile)
  2. Fill in the required fields: Player, Date of injury, Body region (IOC classification), Mode of onset
  3. Assign a treating practitioner — either a club staff member or an external provider
  4. Optionally expand Show classification details for IOC/FIFA coding fields (tissue type, pathology, OSIICS code)
  5. For head injuries, a concussion checkbox appears with the GRTP (Graduated Return to Play) stage timeline
  6. Set the initial Status and estimated return dates
  7. Tap Log Injury to save

Opening injury details

Tap any injury card to open the detail panel on the right. From there you can add updates, manage return-to-play progress, and resolve the injury. See How do I manage an injury through its lifecycle? for details.

Tip: You can deep-link to a specific injury by appending ?injury=ID to the URL — useful for sharing with colleagues.
