Quick answer
How do I use the triage system?
The Triage page lets you track non-injury medical concerns, follow-ups, and observations that may not yet warrant a full injury record.
- Log in to the admin portal
- Tap Medical in the sidebar, then Triage
A badge on the Triage nav item shows the count of open notes so you can see at a glance if anything needs attention.
The page has two tabs:
- Open — active triage notes that need monitoring or action
- Resolved — notes that have been closed out
- Tap New Note (top-right)
- Select the Player
- Describe the Concern — what was observed or reported
- Choose a Recommended action: No action required, Monitor, Seek assessment, or Clinic review
- Optionally set a Follow-up date
- Tap Save
Each note card shows the player name, concern, recommended action pill, and who created it.
You have three actions on each open note:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Edit | Reopens the note so you can update the concern, recommended action, or follow-up date. The player can't be changed — create a new note if you logged the wrong player |
| Resolve | Closes the note — it moves to the Resolved tab |
| Escalate to Injury | Creates a full injury record from this note. You'll be prompted to select a Body region, then the system creates the injury and links it to the note |
- On an open note, tap Edit
- Update the Concern, Recommended action, or Follow-up date
- Tap Save
- Escalate when the concern turns out to be an actual injury that needs tracking, return-to-play management, or documentation
- Resolve when the concern has been addressed, was minor, or no further action is needed
Tip: Escalated notes automatically create an Active injury on the Active Injuries board. The linked injury carries forward the player and context from the triage note.
