Quick answer
I'm being asked to add my Working With Children Check
Football NSW requires everyone in a child-related role at a club with under-18 players to hold a current Working With Children Check. When one of your roles needs a check and Clubhouse doesn't have a current one on file, opening that portal takes you to a page headed Working With Children Check required instead of your usual home screen. This article explains what the page is telling you and how to get back in.
- What the page shows
- Getting back in
- If it's training, not your WWC
- If the page says "Please speak with your club"
- Your other roles still work
- Where to get help
The block applies to one portal at a time: the admin, coach or manager portal you just tried to open. The page lists:
- What's required — a checklist with each item marked Complete or Outstanding. Your Working With Children Check is always on it. The two Sport Integrity Australia training modules appear too when they're part of the reason you're blocked.
- Roles requiring a WWC — the roles (and squads) behind the block, so you can see exactly which appointment needs the check.
- Contact your MPIO — the email address of your club's Member Protection Information Officer.
It usually appears for one of two reasons: you've never recorded a check at this club, or the one on file has expired. If it lapsed, you'll also have had a Your Clubhouse access is suspended notification, which opens this page.
There's no form on the page itself. Your club records the check for you:
- If you don't already hold a current check, apply for or renew it with Service NSW.
- Send your WWC number and expiry date to your MPIO, using the email on the page.
- Once they've recorded it, you're back in the next time you sign in. There's nothing else to do.
If your WWC shows Complete but a training module is Outstanding, the club's training deadline has passed and the page is headed A few things before you can continue. Each outstanding module links straight to its free course (about 20 minutes each). Complete it, then send the certificate to your MPIO or club admin to record. Access returns at your next sign-in. This version of the page has no checklist. It means your club's MPIO needs to talk with you about your Working With Children Check before access to that portal resumes. Get in touch with them directly.
The block only affects the portal that needs the check. If you also hold another role, for example as a parent at the club or in a senior-only role, the page's Use a different role section offers a button straight into it, such as Open Clubhouse.
- The check itself: Service NSW.
- Recording it, or a block you think is wrong: your club's MPIO or club admin.
- Keeping a check current once it's on file: Renewing or updating your Working With Children Check.
