Quick answer
Can I give a training programme to just some of my players?
Full walkthrough: Build and publish training programmes in the guide covers this step by step.
Yes. A programme can go to a whole squad or to named players from one squad, such as the goalkeepers or a player managing a niggle. Building it is the same either way; only the Who changes.
- Open the programme and choose Assign this programme (or Who has it once it's live).
- Under Who, choose Specific players, then pick the squad.
- Tick the players. The list is grouped by position with Goalkeepers first, and a group heading ticks or clears the whole group. For "everyone except the keepers", choose Select all, then untick Goalkeepers.
- Set Starts and Targets by, and choose Assign to 2 players (the button counts who you picked).
Publishing works exactly as it does for a squad, except the confirm window names each player rather than a squad and a count.
| Tag | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On: a programme name | They're already on another live programme and will be expected to do both |
| Not on the app | They don't have their own login yet, so they won't see it or be notified until they sign in |
| Left and a squad name | They've left the squad since being added. They stay on the list until you untick them |
A specific-players programme sits alongside the squad's, not instead of it. A keeper on the squad's in-season block and a goalkeeping block is expected to do both, and their Workouts tab says so. If some players should do one block and the rest another, assign each block to its own group of players.
A specific-players list is fixed. It doesn't follow the squad, so a player who joins later isn't added by itself. The row tells you how many squad players it leaves out (for example 3 others in Mens First Grade not included), with Add players beside it.
Choose Change players on the row at any time:
- Adding to a live programme opens a confirm window naming only the players who'll be notified, with a button like Add and notify 1 player. Everyone already on it hears nothing. Late at night (9pm to 6am Sydney time) the window warns that most phones silence notifications overnight. Afterwards, the message names any new player who has no notifications set up or has turned Workout Reminders off.
- Taking a player off sends nothing. The programme leaves their phone straight away and everything they logged is kept.
To end it early for everyone on the list, choose Finish for these players. Once its target date has passed it reads Take off their phones instead.
