Quick answer

Match-day GPS load: the Load tab

Match day is where the load data that matters most gets made. For squads with GPS switched on, every completed match carries a Load tab — the per-player external-load report for that fixture, plus the list of players who didn't get enough out of it.

Where it lives

S&C → Matches lists the club's fixtures; open a completed match and the Load tab sits alongside the match detail. It appears once three things are true: the match is completed, it was run through Clubhouse (there's a match record to report on), and the squad is GPS-enrolled. Other staff see the same tab on their own match pages; families and players never do.

If the tab shows "No GPS data for this match", the player units weren't synced for the fixture or the data hasn't landed yet — GPS arrives via your club's Catapult connection, not by upload.

Team Load

The top panel is the squad in one glance — Team Load, with the tracked count and three per-player figures, each set against the season:

  • Distance / player and HSR / player
  • m/min — intensity, the figure least distorted by minutes
  • a vs season comparison, computed against the squad's other tracked matches

The player table

Each tracked player gets a row: Mins, Dist, HSR, HSR/min, Top speed — with participation noted where it isn't obvious (Did not play, or Also played BYL U13 for a player who doubled up). Two flags do the watching for you, each against the player's own baseline (they appear below 85% of the player's recent-match average):

  • HSR down — well under their usual high-speed output
  • Top speed down — never approached their usual peak

A flagged row after a full match is a conversation: fatigue, a knock they didn't report, or a role change that genuinely asked less of them.

Top-up candidates

The part that changes your Monday plan. Top-up candidates lists players who played under 60 tracked minutes and shows each one's HSR shortfall against their own full-match baseline, for example "420 m HSR short". That's the extra high-speed work the weekend didn't give them, and the strongest argument for who does extras at the next session. Players who didn't get on at all aren't listed, because there's no match data to measure them against, so add unused substitutes yourself.

What isn't on this tab

Session effort ratings (sRPE) are a training-side pairing — they live on the training session's load card, not here. And there's no readiness scoring or RPE entry on the match page: match-day load in Clubhouse is the objective GPS record, and the week-level picture around it lives in Player Load.
