Quick answer
Manage your notification preferences
Clubhouse notifications are mostly push, with one SMS safety net for urgent changes. The settings page is a set of on/off switches per kind of notification — there's no per-event grid of email, SMS and push columns to manage.
- Where to find your preferences
- Match Updates: live scores per team
- Reminders & Alerts: the category switches
- SMS for urgent changes
- Quiet hours and Do Not Disturb
- Notifications that can't be turned off
- Troubleshooting
Open Settings → Notification preferences. The page opens on two tabs:
- Match Updates — how you follow live matches: which teams' live scores and final scores reach your phone.
- Reminders & Alerts — everything else: schedule changes, match and training reminders, club events, review meetings, and the rest of the categories for your roles.
Above the tabs is a push-status banner that tells you whether push notifications are switched on for this device. If they're blocked, fix that first — every switch below it controls a push.
If you hold multiple roles (e.g. parent + coach), the Reminders & Alerts tab lists each role's settings separately.
This tab is a grid of teams with two toggle columns — Live scores and Final score. Your own teams (your child's squads, or squads you're assigned to) appear first under Your teams; you can also follow whole programs across the club. Turn a row on and that team's goals and final score reach your lock screen; turn it off and that team goes quiet, without touching reminders or schedule alerts.
Each category is a single push switch with a description personalised to your family — for example Schedule change alerts for your child's matches, training, and team events. What you see depends on your roles and programmes; common parent categories:
- Schedule Changes — a match or training session moved, cancelled, or changed venue.
- Match Reminders and Training Reminders — the day-before and arrive-by pushes.
- Squad Selections — the weekly team announcement; only appears when a child plays in a programme that splits into two teams.
- Medical Status Updates — injury status changes shared with your family. Concussion and return-to-play messages still come with this off.
- Club events — one switch covering invitations to new events, updates when an event changes, and reminders before it.
- Review meetings — booking invites, reminders, and changes to your child's review, each with its own switch.
Players with their own login also see their daily check-in and workout prompt categories. Changes save as you tap — the page confirms with Preferences saved.
Silence club-event chatter without losing fixture pings. The Club events switch is separate from match and training reminders, so turning it off stops workshop and meeting invites while your fixture alerts carry on untouched.
At the bottom of the parent section is one extra toggle — SMS for urgent changes: "Also text me when a match is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours." That's the only SMS control; it exists so a last-minute cancellation still reaches you when push doesn't (phone on silent, app signed out on a new phone).
SMS goes to the mobile number on your account. To change it, use Settings → Mobile Number — Clubhouse texts a 6-digit code to the new number before it takes effect.
Clubhouse respects your phone's system-level quiet hours / Focus / Do Not Disturb settings. A notification sent during your quiet hours arrives silently — the lock screen updates but no sound or haptic.
There's no separate "quiet hours" setting inside Clubhouse — use your phone's controls.
Compliance reminders for staff roles — the 30 day / 7 day / expiry day / access-suspended Working With Children renewal pushes — have no switch anywhere in the UI. NSW WWC checks are a legal requirement for working with under-18s, so these are mandatory; they stop the moment the renewed expiry date is recorded.
Coach development plan notifications for coaches — your technical director asking you to prepare for a conversation, completing one with you, and the reminders around each one — have no switch either. Each is a direct ask about your own plan, and they stop once you've done what it asks.
If a notification you expect isn't arriving:
- Check the switch is on for that category in Clubhouse settings.
- Check notifications are allowed at the phone system level (iOS Settings → Notifications → Clubhouse, or Android system settings).
- Check your phone has data or wifi.
- Check you're not in a quiet hours window.
