Quick answer
Where do I find the Australian Championship?
Some programmes play a second competition alongside their league season. At Sutherland Sharks that's the Australian Championship: about nine weeks from mid-October to mid-December, after the NPL season has finished, with a squad drawn from the same first-grade players.
It isn't a separate section and it isn't a separate role. Your programme covers both competitions, and which one you're looking at is a setting on the page rather than a different portal.
Once your club has confirmed its entry and the Championship squad exists, the programme opens on the Championship — right through preparation, not just from the first match. It hands back to your league season the day after the final.
Nothing to set: entry confirmation is the switch, and the closing date comes from Football Australia's own published round list. It's the same cutover your players get, where a squad member's app follows the competition they're actually in rather than the season that has finished.
Preparation counts as the campaign on purpose. The roster, the S&C block and the travel all start weeks before the first round, and that's the work in front of you.
The sidebar never moves you between the two competitions without you choosing it:
| You're in | The sidebar lists |
|---|---|
| The league | Every row from both competitions. Workouts opens the Championship when that's where the S&C prep block is published. |
| The Championship | Only the Championship's own rows. IDPs, and Retention where your club runs it for the league, aren't listed until you're back in the league. |
To reach a league-only row during the Championship, pick the league in the Competition dropdown on Squads, and the sidebar shows the league's rows again.
The Championship has its own Season Plan, drafted once from Football Australia's round dates when the campaign squad is first entered: a preparation phase, the group stage and the finals. You can edit it like any other. Coach development plans stay on the league's Season Plan, since each coach has one plan a year.
There's a Competition dropdown on Squads, alongside the season filter. That's the one page where the two competitions hold genuinely different lists of people — the Championship squad is the FA-listed group, not everyone on your league roster — so it's where comparing them earns a control.
Picking the other competition keeps you on Squads rather than sending you to a dashboard.
Everywhere else there's no dropdown, because the two competitions don't overlap: only one of them is ever the one being played, and the programme is already on it. Matches is the exception worth knowing — its Program dropdown reaches every programme at the club, the Championship included, so that's your way back to a finished league season's fixtures, results and final table.
While you're in the Championship, the page is titled Australian Championship and the role line under your name reads the same. The crest at the top of the screen stays your club's in both competitions, so go by the title rather than the crest.
Contracts keeps the competition you're in, and that matters: the two rosters have different salary caps, so the figures you see depend on it. The hub has its own season and competition picker, listing each Championship year directly beneath the league season it's played inside.
